⏱️ Mano Minute (8/19): Build a Blood Sugar-Friendly Plate

The midday crash is becoming more and more common.

What’s changed?

The dip in energy lines up with the huge rise in ultra-processed foods, especially sugar.

It happens when our blood sugar spikes from too many refined carbs or added sugars which leads to a significant crash.

That spike-and-crash cycle messes with your focus, mood, energy, and cravings.

Here’s a simple structure for a blood sugar-friendly meal:
🍳 Protein (eggs, fish, tofu, chicken, Greek yogurt)
🥬 Fiber (veggies, legumes, beans, whole grains)
🥑 Healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocado)

The key is this combo: Protein + Fiber.

It slows digestion and leads to a steadier, more natural rise in blood sugar.

⏱️ Mano Minute (8/20): Keep Your Personal Promise One of the most common things we do to accomplish a goal is find an accountability buddy. Because it works. That person keeps you in check. You don’t want to let them down. You don’t want to hurt the relationship. So… why don’t we do this with ourselves? There’s a lot of power in doing what you told yourself to do. Not for anyone else. Just for you. It builds something important: self-trust. Because you’re not lying to yourself. You’re not fake...

⏱️ Mano Minute (8/18): Move With Intention We spend so much of our day in front of screens, hunched over and stiff. Your body is made to move in all directions, not just from desk to coffee machine. Today, try to get in:🙆♂️ A deep stretch.🚶♂️ A short walk outside.🏋️♀️ One burst of activity that makes you sweat. Doesn’t matter if it’s dancing in your kitchen or doing squats between meetings. Just make it intentional.

⏱️ Mano Minute (8/17): The 1% Rule You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight. Get 1% better each day. That’s it. Drink one more glass of water. Do one more push-up. Go to bed 10 minutes earlier. Tiny changes stack up faster than you think. And they’re easier to stick with. This is a key concept from the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. The formula is clear: +1% better each day = 37.78x improvement per year
